Data You Give Directly
If a search form accepts a name, phone number, or address, the information is sent to the third-party provider that returns the search results. Paso Robles Residents Directory does not maintain an account for that search or keep a private copy of a resident result. If you contact the operators, the message and the details you choose to include are available so a reply can be sent.
Information Collected Automatically
Hosting systems may record ordinary technical data such as an IP address, browser type, viewed page, and time of access. Aggregate review can help identify broken links, slow pages, and broad reader interest. Basic cookies or similar tools may support analytics or advertising measurement when those services are enabled.
How the Information Is Used
Information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the reference pages, measure traffic in broad terms, and answer messages. The operators do not build individual profiles from the public-record topics people read and do not sell a visitor list.
Links to County, State, and Other Services
Pages link to San Luis Obispo County portals, Paso Robles offices, California agencies, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. Information submitted after following a link is governed by the destination's policy. Sponsored search results are supplied by an outside company and are not operated by the directory.
Who May Process Information
Hosting and technical service providers may process server logs as needed to keep the pages available. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical data described above. Information may be disclosed when a valid legal demand requires it; otherwise, contact details are used for the ordinary purpose for which they were sent.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection. Logs and messages are kept only for the operational, security, or reply purpose that calls for them, subject to routine backups and service retention. There is no user account here, so the directory does not hold a password or resident profile for a visitor.
Visitors Under 18
The reference material is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent information may use the Contact page to request review and deletion of the message.
California Data Rights
California Civil Code §1798.100 and following sections, including the California Consumer Privacy Act and related amendments, may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-data uses, and receive equal treatment, subject to statutory exceptions. California's Delete Act, Civil Code §1798.99.80 and following sections, created the DROP process for data-broker deletion requests. Because the directory keeps little visitor data, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and available logs.
Use the Contact page to ask about data held by the directory. A request to remove or change a public record held by Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo County, or California must go to that custodian. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000 to 7931.000, governs access to many public records, not a private directory's control over the government's copy.
Changes to This Policy
When the data practice or legal explanation changes, the revised policy will be posted here with its new wording. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
