Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Paso Robles Residents Directory. The pages are a private reference to public-record offices, search portals, and historical collections in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo County. By using them, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the pages or their linked tools.

1. What Paso Robles Residents Directory Is

Paso Robles Residents Directory is a privately operated reference that describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections related to Paso Robles, California. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with Paso Robles offices, San Luis Obispo County, California agencies, courts, libraries, or records custodians. The official office remains the authority for access, accuracy, certification, and correction.

2. Lawful Rules for Use

Use the pages and any information reached through them only for lawful purposes. You may not use them or linked results to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm someone.
  • Locate a person who is protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit fraud, impersonation, or identity theft.
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, housing, or insurance eligibility.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the pages at scale.
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the pages.

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

The directory is not a consumer reporting agency as that term is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 and following sections. Nothing on these pages, and nothing returned by a linked search provider, is a consumer report. No result may be used to assess a person's eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. Outside Links and Search Services

Links lead to county and state portals, court services, libraries, archives, and third-party search providers. Those destinations have their own terms, privacy rules, prices, and availability. Paso Robles Residents Directory does not control their content or data practices and is not responsible for a transaction or submission made there.

5. No Warranty of Accuracy

The pages and linked references are supplied “as is” and “as available.” Records change, links fail, fees move, and historical coverage can be incomplete. No warranty is made that a statement is current, complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that an external portal will return a result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar loss arising from use of the pages or an external resource, including an action taken from a record or search result.

7. Your Responsibility to Protect the Operators

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your misuse of the pages, a linked service, or a record reached through them, or from your violation of these terms.

8. Copyright and Site Materials

The original writing, design, logo, and layout belong to the operators or their licensors and are protected by applicable copyright law. Ordinary linking and brief quoted excerpts with attribution are allowed. Full-page republication and systematic copying are not.

9. Changes to These Terms

The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version. Continued use after a revision is posted means the updated terms are accepted.

10. Suspension or Blocked Access

Access may be limited or blocked for conduct that violates these terms, abuses a search service, threatens another person, or interferes with security. The operators may act without advance notice.

11. California Governing Law

California law governs these terms, without applying conflict-of-law principles. Public-record references use the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000 to 7931.000, including the determination rule in §7922.535. The California Consumer Privacy Act and related rights appear in Civil Code §1798.100 and following sections; the Delete Act and DROP process appear in Civil Code §1798.99.80 and following sections.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, that provision is limited or removed to the minimum needed, and the remaining terms continue in effect.

13. Questions About the Terms

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a government record should go directly to the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder, Paso Robles City Clerk, court, assessor, or other named custodian.
